ok so the plot is that in 1959 there was this girl who could hear whispering and was really pale and she came up with an idea to have a time capsule that won some contest so they did it and the kiddies all drew pictures but this chick starts furiously writing numbers flash fwd nic cage's son finds this letter (same middle school natch) and he and his MIT prof brain figure out its a sequence and that lists the day, gps coord and death toll of every major world dist including the fire his wife died in and so there are a couple events left that havent happened yet he tries to stop (but fails) and so theres a mega plane crash and a mega subway crash that he survives both and then theres the last day (p.s. this whole time he found the daughter of the crazy pale chick and has been like solving the crime since oh and really pale blonde men keep whispering to nic's kid and the pale ones grand kid and leaving them shiny black rocks) btw and so they figure out dun dun dun that the last day is the end of the world because these is going to be some sort of enormo solar flare that is going to end life on earth (a theory that nic actually invented but didnt apply the model to our solar system...and this is all happening within the time of like 2-3 days i think) and so these blonde gentlemen are actuallky aliens (OBVIOUSLY) who were there to pick up the "chosen ones" aka the pale ones grand daughter (mom died in car crash already... sad) and nic's son and so basically the aliens warp away with the two kids who naturally have bunnies with them (from out of NOWHERE) and you also see a bunch of other alien ships in the horizon so there are other chosen ones and nic cage drives to hug his family and like apparently accepts christ again or something and then the nuclear blast comes and FUCKS UP new york city and the kids are then seen playing in a fucking wheatfeild with the bunnies adn running towards some sort of tree of life cherry blossom situation end BAM
